This song was written as a gift to my wife, before she was my wife. It was at a time when we were dating long distance. I often felt as though I was unable to protect her, so I had to rely on God to do that for me. In fact, it brought me to the realization that even when we were together it is still up to God to do the protecting. This is actually something similar to what I pray for each and every day.
